Dr. Brandon Ignatowski, MPH, CHES

Program Lead, Addiction Studies

Brandon Ignatowski is a public health professional and educator originally from Southern California, now based in Roseville. He earned an Associate of Arts degree from San Bernardino Valley College, a bachelor’s degree in biochemistry and public health, a Master of Public Health from California State University, San Bernardino, and a Doctorate in Public Health from Loma Linda University.

Earlier in his career, Brandon served in the U.S. Army during the OEF/OIF conflict. He has also worked extensively in public health administration, including a tenure with the San Bernardino County Department of Public Health, where he served as Program Director for COVID-19 testing centers across the county.

Brandon began his academic career as an adjunct professor at California State University, San Bernardino, and California Baptist University before joining Diablo Valley College full-time. He currently directs the Addiction Studies Program, preparing students to become state-certified substance abuse counselors through hands-on training and evidence-based instruction.

Outside of academia, Brandon enjoys traveling with his wife, spending time with family, and caring for his dogs.
