Tutors are available to DSS and EOPS students throughout the semester.
Tutors can assist with math, English and other writing subjects.
Pleasant Hill
DSS tutoring happens in BWL 210. Please note that not all tutors and subjects are available at all times. You may email tutors to ask about their schedules:

DSS has English/writing tutors available at the Academic Support Center.
Zoom
Online tutoring is available via at the same hours as in-person tutoring.
Paper Drop-Off
The DSS Tutoring Lab also accepts paper drop-offs for comprehensive written, audio, and/or video feedback on drafts of English and other essay writing, ensuring flexibility in scheduling and accessibility. Tutors will assist all submissions with the following: clarity, organization, adherence to the academic conventions, use of citation, grammar, and syntax, as well as provide guidance with research and writing resources.
Please submit the following to regoian687@dvc.edu:
- Your writing assignment instructions (with essay prompt if applicable)
- Whether you would prefer written, audio, and/or video feedback from the tutor
- Specific questions that you would like feedback on
- Your writing assignment/essay rough draft via PDF or MS Word document file
Students will receive written, audio, and/or video feedback from the tutor in the next 24 hours.
