I know it has been a long time since we have had one of these but we are back Today's fun fact is about The Giant Squid.


Name: The Giant Squid (Architeuthis dux)


Conservation status: Least concern.

Lifespan: 5 years.

What they eat: They eat deep sea fishes and other smaller squids

Where they live: They live in deep waters. They are usually found near continental and island slopes.




More facts: - The Giant squid eyes are the size of Frisbees.

- Female giant squid are bigger than males.

- The famous sailor's legend, The Kraken is REAL. The Kraken is a modern day Giant Squid.

- Like all squids, the Giant Squid can have 3 HEARTS.
