Pee-Ka-Boo!!

A Dwarf Galago that we believed was extinct has been re-discovered....

Taita Mountain dwarf galago (Paragalago sp.) has been re-discovered by a group of researchers in Kenya.

Apparently they were on the search for this small creature when all of a sudden they spotted this family of galagos chilling out.

These nocturnal creatures are tiny, weighing about 100-180 grams! that's lighter than your average packaged butter!!

These animals live high up in the tree canopy making them difficult to spot. the first sighting was in 2002, Kenya... no other sightings were reported since. until Feb 26, 2020.

Unfortunately these cute critters are on the verge of extinction as their habitats are destroyed by fires and deforestation. People are putting some effort to save this unique creature.
